My Story

Nancy Williams has written poetry for decades… she calls it ‘Painting with words.’ Just as brush strokes can brighten or soothe an individual, so too, can words. Expressing one’s deepest JOY or harrowing ANGST through language, allows one to articulate deepest feelings.

Her gift with words has long been enjoyed by family, friends, and professional colleagues. She has penned children’s books for educational publishing companies and written plays and various creative ventures when she was a classroom teacher. Her true love has always been writing Prose.

As Nancy faced the celebrations and heartbreaks of her life, writing was her solace. Reaching for the emotion she faced… meant reaching for the correct word to define it. Creating a vision to see it and feel it anew, called for a phrase or symbol that could help her and most importantly those who would read her pieces.

Discerning the right word which allows others to identify with her thought is most challenging. Yet, Nancy strives to create images and ideas that touch the hearts of countless different readers whose hearts ache from their own unique pain.

We are all different… but as humans, our hearts and minds know Grief. We seek comfort or we suffer. If you choose to find solace in language, Nancy has painstakingly painted loving words for you in her book, A RETURN FROM GRIEF… LESSONS OF THE GEESE.

Nancy is a native of western Pennsylvania. She currently resides with her daughter in Longmont, CO.
